Journalism allows me to live in others’ shoes for a little while, usually long enough to experience their hopes and fears but almost always shorter than I’d like. I’ve written about education reform, PTSD in post-Katrina New Orleans, college rodeo, posh home interiors, outdoor ice skating and local, state and national elections.
